This Homeowner Called us out to her home to update their attic insulation. They were experiencing ice damming on the roof. Some spots were too hot and others were too cold. This home was insulated with old fiberglass insulation.

We removed the old inefficient fiberglass insulation in the attic. We install our blocks of Silverglo foam insulation board between the ceiling joist bays, and under the rafters. We air seal around the blocks with foam. Air is no longer able to enter and escape out of the home.

This home owner call us out to see if we could help him with his cold floors. One thing we have to know when entering any home is stack effect. Warm air will rise and escape from the attic spaces and new air will enter the home from below. This air in the winter is freezing cold and in turn, make your floors very cold. To fix this we spray the rim joist with our 2-part spray foam. This seals up all the gaps and cracks so air will not be able to enter the home from the rim joist and make your floors cold. Now that this home owner got this project completed, he will not have to  worry about cold floor any longer!

This customer called us out in regards to a problem he was having in his home. The problem was that this mobile home had a lot of ice damming in the winter. ice damming can severely damage your home! Ice dams occur after heavy snowfall when warm air in the attic causes the roof to warm and the snow to melt due to poor insulation. To fix this, we have to first remove all of the old fiberglass batting insulation that is not doing its job. We properly bag and dispose of those materials. Now its time to air seal. We air seal all accessible penetrations, end plates and top plates where air can leak from your home into your attic. This is done with our two part foam. Next, our TruSoft cellulose insulation is blown in the attic to get our optimum R-value of R60. With this we fill all of the gaps and odd shaped voids so that thermal bridging is avoided. This room over the garage is being renovated.  The homeowner wanted to be sure his home is properly insulated.  One of the treatments our team did in this room was to insulate the kneewall.  A kneewall is the triangular space under the sloped roof and behind the wall of the room.  We installed our Foamax polyisocyanurate foam board on the exterior walls.  Foamax provides superior insulation and it is flame retardant.  The homeowner can rest assured the knee walls in this room are properly insulated. 

This homeowner called us out to their home in Blandford, MA to update their insulation in the attic because they were having issues with drafts in their home. We knew it was time to remove and update their attic insulation. In their attic knee wall space, there was old, inefficient fiberglass insulation. 

We removed the old fiberglass insulation, properly bag and dispose of the materials and are ready for the next step. We install our SilverGlo foam board insulation between the ceiling joist bays. The blocks are sealed with foam and fastened with long screws. The SilverGlo helps so that when the insulation is installed next, it is not left to do the work on its own. This significantly warms the upstairs and downstairs, as well as reducing the drafts able to enter the home, thanks to Dr. Energy Saver!
